Grievance Redressal Policy
Effective 1 August 2026
We want to know when something goes wrong. This policy explains who can raise a concern, how to raise it, and what happens after you do.
Our Commitment
Every patient and family member has the right to raise a concern about their care, our staff, our facilities, or their bill — and to have it taken seriously, investigated fairly, and responded to in reasonable time.
Who Can Raise a Grievance
Any patient, family member, attendant, or visitor can raise a grievance about their experience at RHRC. You do not need to be currently admitted or under treatment to do so.
What You Can Raise a Grievance About
- Clinical care or treatment you received
- Behaviour or conduct of any staff member
- Billing, charges, or refunds
- Cleanliness, safety, or condition of hospital facilities
- Waiting times or communication about your care
- Privacy or confidentiality of your information
- Any form of discrimination or disrespectful treatment
How to Raise a Grievance
Please share as much detail as you can — dates, names, and what resolution you're hoping for — so we can look into it properly.
- Our Grievance / Complaint form on this website
- Phone or WhatsApp to our helpline
- In person, at the hospital administration desk
- The suggestion/complaint box located on hospital premises
Information to Include
The date, the department or staff involved, what happened, and what resolution you're hoping for all help us look into your grievance properly. You're welcome to raise a grievance anonymously, though this may limit our ability to update you on the outcome.
What Happens After You Submit
- Your grievance is acknowledged and logged by hospital administration
- It is routed to the concerned department or staff for review
- We investigate, and may speak with you or hospital staff for more detail
- You receive a response with our findings and any action taken
- Where a grievance points to a wider issue, we review our processes to help prevent it recurring
Escalation
If you're not satisfied with the initial response, you can ask for your grievance to be escalated — first to senior hospital administration, and from there to the APPL Foundation, which runs RHRC, for further review.
External Recourse
If you remain unsatisfied after our internal process, you may also raise your concern with the relevant state health authority, the applicable clinical establishments regulatory authority, or, for consumer disputes, the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Raising a grievance with us does not affect your right to pursue any of these external options.
Confidentiality & Non-Retaliation
Grievances are handled confidentially and shared only with those who need to know to resolve them. Raising a grievance never affects the quality of care you or your family receive at RHRC, and we do not tolerate any negative treatment of a patient or family member for having raised a grievance in good faith.
Continuous Improvement
Grievances help us identify where our care or processes can improve. As a NABH-accredited hospital, we review grievance trends periodically as part of our commitment to quality and patient safety.
